Section 1 - Purpose

(1) The purpose of this document is to act as a placeholder for the Charles Sturt University Excellence Awards Guidelines (CSU Excellence Awards Guidelines). The CSU Excellence Awards Guidelines outline the award process and provides advice on eligibility, nomination and selection for the CSU Excellence Awards.

(2) The CSU Excellence Awards are one of the three types of recognition that make up Charles Sturt University's Rewards and Recognition Program, Recognising Excellence Daily (RED), along with ‘Values’ and ‘Achievement’. The CSU Excellence Awards recognise outstanding contribution to the Charles Sturt University (the University) Ethos, Values and Strategy within three categories linked to the University Strategy, being:

  1. Vibrant Regional Communities;
  2. Successful Graduates; and
  3. A Strong University.

(3) The CSU Excellence Awards are open to all staff and students and may include individual or team nominations.

(4) Nominations can be made by a staff member or manager. You cannot self-nominate for an individual award, however your name can be included as part of a team nomination.

(5) The Reward and Recognition Guidelines provides further information on the University’s reward and recognition program and should be read in conjunction with the CSU Excellence Awards Guidelines
