'eResearch Coordination Committee' - Membership and Terms of Reference

Section 1 - Membership

(1) The membership of the eResearch Coordination Committee shall be determined by the Research Committee and shall include:

  1. Director of Research Services, Office of Research Services and Graduate Studies - Alternating Presiding Officer;
  2. Director, Enterprise Architecture, Division of Information Technology - Alternating Presiding Officer;
  3. Executive Director, Division of Library Services or nominee;
  4. an Academic staff member from each Faculty as nominated by the Research Committee
  5. Manager, Spatial Data Analysis Network
  6. Manager, CSU Regional Archives and University Art Collection.

Section 2 - Terms of Reference

(2) Subject to the Act, the By-Law and resolutions of Academic Senate, the eResearch Coordination Committee shall:

  1. advise the Research Committee on the practice of eResearch at the University and the evolving needs of researchers with respect to eResearch;
  2. devise and implement an eResearch Strategy that makes good use of eResearch resources and funding opportunities available to the University, including state bodies such as Intersect, and federal bodies such as NCI;
  3. oversee the development, promotion and adoption of eResearch and related policy, infrastructure and services within the University;
  4. facilitate a collaborative and consolidated approach to eResearch infrastructure development and administration;
  5. foster cohesive and cooperative adoption of eResearch practices by the University research community.

Section 3 - Conduct of Business

(3) Meetings shall be conducted a minimum of four times per year, with the frequency and timing to align with supporting the business of the Research Committee.

(4) Minutes of the eResearch Coordination Committee meetings will be submitted to the agenda of the next Research Committee meeting.
