Summary of Changes from Previous Version

March 2017 – administrative change to clause 19. ‘Office of Research and Graduate Studies’ updated to ‘Research Office’ to align with current organisational structure, as authorised by the University Secretary under Delegation GOV10B.

This is the first version of this document to be published in the CSU Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the existing version that was published in the relevant manual (academic or administration) at the time the CSU Policy Library was launched. The document has been subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and title.

The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication via the CSU Policy Library:

3/11/2004 - Amendments received from Vice-Chancellor’s Forum of 7 October, 2004.

6/12/2005 - Guidelines reformatted into new CSU style.

Sub-clause 3.2 (k) - Supervisor's Report on Professional Development Needs replaced by the Division’s/Faculty’s annual Performance Management Participation Report to HR.

Sub-clause 4.4.3 - Enterprise Agreements changed to Enterprise Agreement.

Sub-clause 5.2 - references to Financial Services resources deleted.

29/8/07 - Sub-clauses 1.2, 4.1 & 4.5b - “goals” replaced by “objectives”.

4.4.2 and 5.2(a) - references to Financial Services updated to Finance.

Sub-clause 5.2(a) - Organisational Development inserted in lieu of General Staff Development and Academic Staff Development.

Sub-clause 5.2(b) - CSU Strategic Plan and link updated to University Strategy 2007 - 2011.
