Summary of Changes from Previous Version

May 2021 – This policy is rescinded and is replaced by the Protocols Policy and Protocols schedule 1 - Academic and ceremonial dress, under resolution CNL160/4.


October 2019 - the Unit Head field has been updated from the University Secretary and Director, Governance and Corporate Affairs to the University Secretary, to align with current structure.


Amendments as approved by the University Council on 29 October 2015 (CNL15/104), including provision for Chancellor, Deputy Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and Pro Chancellor to wear bonnet pertaining to post doctoral awards; deletion of clause that allows wearing of bonnet outside of Australia only; amendment to number of gold bands on Deputy Chancellor gown; and deletion of reference to Provost.
