University Prizes Policy

Section 1 - Policy

Business and Professional Women's Club

(1) The Business and Professional Women's Club prize ceased to be offered from January 2002.

Central Western Branch of the Australian Federation of University Women of NSW Prize

(2) The Central Western Branch of the Australian Federation of University Women of NSW Prize is currently offered under the following terms:

Eligibility Enrolment in the Bathurst Campus.
Criteria The prize will be awarded to the most meritorious woman graduate residing in the Central Western area of New South Wales.
Number One (1) per annum.
Value The Prize will be a cheque to the value of $100 and an inscribed certificate issued by the University.
Presentation Graduation Ceremony
Selection Procedure Prizes Committee consisting of the Head of Campus, Bathurst
Special Conditions The prize may be withheld in any year if, in the opinion of the prizes committee, no student is of sufficient merit to justify its award.
Relevant Courses All courses, all Faculties

Charles Sturt University - Mitchell Graduates Association Community Achievement Award (Graduand)

(3) The Charles Sturt University - Mitchell Graduates Association Community Achievement Award (Graduand) prize ceased to be offered from January 2002.

Charles Sturt University - Mitchell Graduates Association Community Achievement Award (Graduate)

(4) The Charles Sturt University - Mitchell Graduates Association Community Achievement Awards (Graduate) prize ceased to be offered from January 2002.

Research Plus Pty Ltd Prize

(5) The Research Plus Pty Ltd Prize ceased to be offered from November 2003.

Towers Prize

(6) The Towers Prize is currently offered under the following terms:

Eligibility Enrolment in a full time course.
Criteria The most outstanding full time student residing in the Towers residence on the Bathurst Campus who has shown outstanding commitment both in academic studies and to the residential community.
Number One (1) per annum.
Value The Prize will be a cheque to the value of $200 and an inscribed certificate issued by the University.
Presentation Prizes Ceremony.
Selection Procedure Prizes Committee consisting of: - Manager, Residential Operations, Bathurst, Dubbo and Orange (Division of Student Services) - Head, Residents - Residences Representative on the SRC
Special Conditions The prize may be withheld in any year if, in the opinion of the prizes committee, no student is of sufficient merit to justify its award.

TAFE NSW - Western Institute Award (Bathurst)

(7) The TAFE NSW - Western Institute Award (Bathurst) is currently offered under the following terms:

Eligibility Enrolment in a Charles Sturt University course.
Criteria The most outstanding student residing within the Western Institute TAFE area, who graduates from a the University course after articulating into the University from a TAFE course.
Number One (1) per annum.
Value The Prize will be a cheque to the value of $250 and an inscribed certificate issued by the the University.
Presentation Graduation Ceremony.
Selection Procedure Prizes Committee consisting of a representative from each of the five faculties of the the University (nominated by the Executive Dean of each Faculty) and a TAFE representative from the the University/TAFE Link Committee.
Special Conditions The prize may be withheld in any year if, in the opinion of the prizes committee, no student is of sufficient merit to justify its award.
