Summary of Changes from Previous Version

Commencement of the Governance (Amendment, Relinquishment and Revocation of Awards) Rule 2015 approved by Council on 16 April 2015 (CNL15/30). The Rule replaces the Awards and Titles Policy - Rescinding and Relinquishing, an archived copy of this Policy can be viewed under the Historic Versions tab of the Rule.



Amendments include replacement of the term 'rescission' with 'revocation'; separation of revocation of a degree or other Academic Award (Division 4) and revocation of an Honorary Award (Division 5) to clearly outline the different circumstances that may arise and the actions that will be taken; inclusion of a provision for stolen documents (Division 6); Transitional Savings and Provisions (Division 7).
