Summary of Changes from Previous Version

July 2022 - Minor edits approved in accordance with delegation A11. Changes include: addition of HDR courses to scope; clarification that single subject study provides access to an authorised record of results; various edits to better reflect the language of HESF standards; amendments to expedited approval process (details amended in Course and Subject Life Cycle Procedure). Glossary moved to Section 5.

November 2021 – Editorial changes in accordance with delegation A13 to update references to committee names and policy.

October 2021 - Full review of the Course and Subject Policy approved by Academic Senate, resolution AS171/4.

Various resources were researched to inform the development of this policy, including course accreditation, reaccreditation and discontinuance procedures, policies and guidelines (or equivalent) from all Australian Universities. Particular acknowledgement is made of the University of Technology Sydney Award Course Approval Policy and Award Course Approval and Publication Procedures.
