Summary of Changes from Previous Version

November 2024 - Amendment to minimum age provisions for international applicants at clause 6, and clarification of minimum age requirements at clause 9, approved under delegation A11, resolution AS197/7.


September 2024 – Editorial change approved under delegation A13 – Title change “Executive Director, Student Experience” to “Executive Director, Customer Experience.”


April 2024 – Editorial change to terms used, approved under delegation A13. Clauses 14-16, 150a and 155e (glossary), references to ‘genuine temporary entrant (GTE) requirements’ updated to ‘genuine student requirements’ in accordance with Direction No. 106 – Assessing the genuine entry and stay requirements for Student visa and Student Guardian visa applications. A copy of this document prior to the change has been captured in the University’s records management system.


January 2024 - Minor changes approved under delegation A11: - new clauses 5 and 150 relating to provisions to decline an application for admission - clarification of deferral process for international/overseas students - clause 32 - edits to selection rank and regional adjustment provisions - clause 111.


December 2023 – Terminology updated to reflect approved guidelines for respectful and inclusive language. Editorial amendments made in accordance with delegation A13.


November 2023 – Clause 82, the word ‘before’ inserted to correct the statement and clarify when course transfer applications must be received, omitted in error from versions 4-6. Editorial change approved under delegation A13. A copy of this document prior to the change has been captured in the University records management system


February 2023 - Amendments to clauses 9-16 to support changes to approval processes for international equivalencies and English language proficiency tests. Clause 47e – reference to additional information relating to suspension of intake. Clause 65 – amendment to requirements for students returning from exclusion. Approved under delegation A11 (authority to approve academic procedures). Clause 139 – editorial amendment for clarification of roles to be consulted, approved under delegation A13.


September 2022 - Editorial change to provide clarification and references. New clause 47 summarises various policy provisions that may result in cancellation of a student's enrolment but does not change the substantive meaning of the procedure. Approved in accordance with delegation A13 (editorial changes).


June 2022 – Changes approved in accordance with delegation A11 (authority to approve academic procedures). Changes include:


- Editorial changes to format/structure and change of terminology used (from residential school to intensive school)

- New clauses 45 and 46 regarding the withdrawal of offers made in error, 

- Change to clause 131 to enable heads of non-School units (centres, research institutes) to recommend HDR candidates

- Addition of sub-clause 131b to include a statement supporting HESF 4.2.2’
