August 2021 – Editorial changes in accordance with GOV10B to correct references to clauses.


July 2021 - Minor changes approved by Council in accordance with GOV7 (CNL 164/15) to include definition and references to freedom of speech, add references to relevant University policy texts, amend statements related to power or discretion conferred on the University.


January 2021 - This is the first version of the Statement on Academic Freedom published to the policy library. Approved by University Council (resolution CNL 154/11). Editorial changes to capitalisation, punctuation, referencing text and to clarify wording, in accordance with delegation GOV10B.
