Summary of Changes from Previous Version

1 January 2019 – the Membership and Terms of Reference for the Academic Senate University Medals Committee has been expired, as approved by the Academic Senate on 21 November 2018 (AS 18/127). Refer to the Medals Policy and Delegation Schedule 9 (Academic and Course), Delegation AS75 for information on awarding of the University’s medals. 


November 2018 - all references to the 'Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)' position and division updated to 'Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)', to align with current structure.


Membership amended as approved by Academic Senate on 8 March 2017 (AS 17/14) to remove the Vice-Chancellor as Presiding Officer of the University Medals Committee and appoint the Deputy Presiding Officer, Academic Senate as Presiding Officer of the Committee. A senior member of the University with research expertise was added to the University Medals Committee membership.
