Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This is the first version of this document to be published in the CSU Policy Library. For all intents and purposes, this version is reflective of the existing version that was published in the relevant manual (academic or administration) at the time the CSU Policy Library was launched. The document has been subjected to reformatting, including the application of a new numbering system and title.



The following information details the history of changes to the document prior to its publication via the CSU Policy Library:



20/08/1999

30/05/2002 - Policy amended to include section on bullying.

16/12/2005 - Policy rewritten. Detailed information on types of harassment and bullying and how to deal with harassment or bullying moved to guidelines.

16/9/2010 - Update of titles of positions and policies where reference is made in the Policy. Extension of Scope in 2. to cover University related off-campus activities. Inclusion of additional grounds of breastfeeding, domestic status and family responsibilities in 3.1. Inclusion of point b) in 4.3.

Inclusion of “another senior HR staff member and the University Ombudsman” in 4.3 h). Inclusion of “serious misconduct” in 6.1. Differentiation of penalties applicable to staff and students in 6.3.

18/12/2012 - Related Legislation - Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 replaced by Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.
