Summary of Changes from Previous Version

April 2021 – position title changes in accordance with University structure changes, approval of document correct in accordance with GOV10B.


December 2020 – Editorial change in accordance with GOV10B, references to Director, Research updated to Dean, Graduate Studies. Changes to Clause 20 to correct internal clause reference. 


The Unit Head field has been updated from the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Engagement (Research and Partnerships) to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) to align with current structure.


June 2019 - all references to the 'Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Development and Industry)' position and division updated to 'Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Engagement)', to align with current structure.


The Policy has not been revised for a number of years, it is not recorded when the last revision occurred. Amendments to the updated Intellectual Property Policy include removal of references to disestablished or no longer existing committees and positions. All clauses have been reviewed and either redrafted or removed to ensure currency of Intellectual Property requirements and correct governance for the management of Intellectual Property.  This Policy has been approved by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Development and Industry) in accordance with the requirements of Delegation GOV10.
