Summary of Changes from Previous Version

August 2022 - The Academic Staff Probation Procedure has undergone a full review in accordance with the Policy Framework Policy, and now consolidates the associated guideline. The procedure was noted by ELT (resolution 2022/98). As per the policy, the changes are: • Probation reviews for fixed term appointments can be held with the supervisor only. • Provisions included to address research activity. • Provisions included for considering equity and diversity issues. • Updates to the fixed term probation review timelines to reflect the current Enterprise Agreement. • Amendments to the probation review forms to reduce the number required. • Consolidation of the current procedure and guideline into one procedure document.
