May 2023 - The Human Research Ethics Committee membership and terms of reference have been revised and are submitted for approval under delegation A17 (authority to approve management committees). Revisions include: • In accordance with the recommendations of the 2020 External Review, the requirement for the Presiding Officer to hold a position of Professor or Associate Professor has been specified • The Membership requirements have been re-evaluated and now reflect only the minimum required by the NHMRC, but provide the Presiding Officer discretion to recommend the appointment of other members to assure the adequate breadth of expertise. • Establishment of a school based Low Risk Review pathway.'Human Research Ethics Committee' - Membership and Terms of Reference
