This policy has been reviewed to align with current terminology and to update the purpose of the secondment policy and eligibility criteria. Eligibility to apply for a secondment has been changed to allow continuing staff opportunities only, with at least one years continuous service. This impacts on fixed term employees eligibility to apply and results in a change in recruitment practice. The aim of the eligibility change is to allow the organisation to conduct its business in a way that does not cause constant disruption caused by high turnover of fixed term staff moving from position to position. At the request of VCLT, the eligibility criteria can be waived by the Chief Operating Officer in exceptional circumstances.Secondment Policy
